Plot Brayden Bennett
This story is based on the events that took place pre and post Russian Revolution.
Pre Rebellion
The story opens with a meeting that is being organized by Old Major for all the animals of Manor Farm. Old Major's story is of how he had a dream of how all the animals lived on a farm with no human involvement Old Major wants everyone to in-vision this dream and all work together to make his dream a reality. A few days later Old Major died and that is when the younger pigs: Napoleon, Snowball, and Squealer all began to rise and fight for power. The pigs coined the term Animalism which was taken from the ideas behind Old Major. One night after Old Majors death the rebellion begins and the animals run Mr. Jones off the farm.
Post Rebellion
After they "over-throw" Mr. Jones the animals change the name of Manor Farm to Animal Farm. At the very beginning Animal Farm is doing very well. Napoleon takes young puppies and teaches them the principles of Animalism. Later on Mr. Jones tries to come back and take back his farm again but the animals defeat him in the Battle of Cowshed. Snowball and Napoleon continue the struggle for power over Animal Farm each trying to persuade animals to believe in them. Snowball comes up with a plan to build a windmill and gives a speech at a meeting about how it's a good idea and Napoleon quickly shoots it down and sends the puppies that he had personally taught "animalism" to be in charge of running Snowball off the farm. At that point forward Napoleon receives full control over the entire farm and says that there will be no more meetings. Napoleon decides he is going to go ahead and use Snowball's plan to build the windmill. After many animals focused much of there efforts on building a windmill a storm blew through and destroyed the windmill and Napoleon told the farms that it was Snowball who destroyed the windmill even though the farms thought that it was poorly made. Napoleon used his dogs to take care of anyone who opposed him and by "take care of " I mean the dogs would either kill them or run them off the farm. Napoleon's power grows larger and becomes more like a human by sleeping in beds and drinking whiskey. It's quite ironic how most of the book is based on how humans are so bad but by the end of the book the animals are unrecognizable because of how much they resemble the humans.
